Ona Underwood

Ona Underwood, age 94, of Huber Heights, passed away on Friday March 11, 2011. She was born on May 3, 1916 in Jackson County, TN, to the late Wheeler and Lizzie Harris. In addition to her parents, Ona was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Chester Underwood.

Ona is survived by her daughter Carylon (Charles) Brown; two grandchildren, Steven (Cheryl) Brown of Dayton and Randy (Brenda) Brown of Lilburn, GA; two great grandchildren, Steven of Fullerton, CA and Kevin of Dayton; and numerous other family members and good friends.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the aids, nurses and staff at Springcreek for their loving attention and care, along with VITAS Hospice for providing Ona with care and comfort in her final days.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made on Ona's behalf to a charity of your choice. Upon request of the family, all funeral services will be private. Arrangements entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd.
