Ollie W. Smith

SMITH, Ollie "Bill", age 85, of Casa Grande, Arizona, and formerly of Bellbrook, passed away Friday, October 2, 2009. He was born March 11, 1924 in Vanceburg, Kentucky. Bill was a veteran of World War II serving with the United States Army on the Island of Okinawa. Bill was the former owner of Airway Motors for 30 years and was a 32 degree Mason. He is survived by his wife, Verda Smith; one daughter, Beverly (Lewis) Brown; grandchildren, Brent and Britta; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Austin, Shelby, Allison, and Lucas; brother, Odell Smith; sisters, Gladys Durham and Beatrice Cloud. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Florence Smith; sister, Nell Gettis; brother, Elmo Smith. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2009 from 10-11 am at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel with funeral services beginning at 11:00 am with Rev. John Lockwood officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens.
