Oliver George Smedley, 91, of Dayton, passed away on April 7, 2015 at Friendship Village.
He was born on June 22, 1923 to James and Molly (Todd) Smedley in Chambers County , AL.
Oliver is survived by his daughter, Naaseh Henderson; special friend, Laurie (Clinton) Bowman; sister-in-law, Edith Houston; 5 granddaughters; 3 grandsons; 14 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 70 years, Opal Smedley; and son, Todd Smedley.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 17, 2015, 12:30 pm until service time at 1:30 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio.
Burial will follow at the West Memory Gardens. Memorials donations can be made to the Wounded Warriors.
