McDermott, Odessa, 70, of Dayton, OH, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012, surrounded by her loving family, at Hospice of Dayton. Odessa is survived by her loving husband of 49 ½ years, John Francis McDermott; son, John James McDermott and wife Cecilia of Waycross, GA; daughters, Celia Helen Clark and husband David, and Odessa Lee Angilella of Dayton, OH. She is also survived by her grandchildren, April, David III, Anthony Michael, Anthony Robert, Vanessa, Emily, and Michael; and great-grandchildren, Hope, Khloe, Ethan, Logan, and Payton; Godparents, Daniel and Kathryn McDermott of Spring, TX. Siblings, Marie (Richard) Summerall, Patsy Kirby, John L (Mary), James (Bonita) and Ruthie Sullivan. She was born in Alma, GA and was preceded in death by her parents, Perkins and Vassie Sullivan; sisters, Geneva (Carter) Warden, Christine Palmer; brother, Danny Sullivan. Visitation 5 to 8 pm, Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, OH. Prayer service at 9:30 am at the Funeral Home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 10:30 am at Our Lady Queen of Peace, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH where she was a faithful parishioner. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, 1625 Calvary Drive, Dayton, OH.
