Oakley Lynn Morgan, 57, of Dayton, Ohio passed away Sunday December 26, 2021. Born 12/27/1963, Oakley (aka "Lenny") graduated from Belmont HS and was a veteran of the US Marine Corps Special Forces. Oakley was a CNC operator for Triangle Precision Industries in Kettering. Quiet by nature, kind, loving, (until you made him mad), he had a heart of gold. As a loyal friend, dedicated worker, devoted son, loving husband and protective big brother, he loved his family and friends deeply. Lynn always found time to help someone in need and for more than a decade, worked side by side with friends at the Fajita Fest, an annual charity benefit for A Special Wish Foundation. He is survived by his wife Linda, Linda's sons who he knew as his own, Aaron (Dana Sassenberg) and Michael Placke, grandchildren, Courtney (Matt Hutchins), Logan, Tyler, Hannah, Emma, Kristen, Kip, and Tucker and 3 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his mother, Kathleen Morgan; Aunts Peggy Merriken, Sally McBride (Donald), Brother Larry (Angela), Sister(s), Nancy Barnes (Stephen), Mary Burr (Matthew) along with many friends, cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death is his father, Vance Morgan, grandparents, Oakley & Nora Morgan and John & Evelyn Cunningham.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 10:00 am at David's Cemetery (4600 Mad River Road, Kettering, Ohio 45429).
Donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in dedication to his mother Kathleen and remembrance of Aunt Nancy.
