O. Elaine Delong

O. Elaine DeLong (Williams), age 77, born April 14, 1938, passed away after a lengthy illness on Friday, November 27, 2015. She was preceded in death by parents Opal (Hayes) and Hugh O. Williams, Phillip Seabrook; husband David W. DeLong and son David M. DeLong. Survived by daughter Cheryl (James) Head; sons Ronald DeLong, Thomas (Robyn) DeLong, and Richard DeLong; 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and expecting 2 in addition. Elaine's professional career began as the administrative assistant for the Huber Heights Board of Education (at that time referred to as Wayne Township Schools). She later served as Collections Manager for the W.T. Grant Co, and finally retired as Floor Manager with H&R Block. Our family extends our hearts of gratitude to the many friends and caregivers from both Hospice of the Miami Valley and The Laurels of Huber Heights. Guests will be received on Thursday, December 3, 2015, from 12:00-2:00pm at Newcomer Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd Beavercreek, Ohio. A graveside service will follow at the Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 W 3rd St, Dayton Ohio at 3:00pm with Chaplain Harry Stewart officiating. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made in Elaine's honor to Hospice of the Miami Valley, 46 N Detroit St, Xenia, Ohio 45385.
