Norris Dean Smith

Norris Dean Smith, age 74, of Huber Heights, passed away on January 24, 2023. He was born on January 24th in 1949 to the late Earl and Lena Smith.

He always had a joke ready and liked to make others laugh. He enjoyed listening to music, especially blues-driven guitar rock. He was a March Madness fan to the point where he would not return phone calls during that time. He loved his family and loved being a dad and a grandpa.

In addition to his parents, Norris was preceded in death by his sister, Genevieve Barker (Smith); and his first born grandson, Lucas Dean Smith.

He will be remembered by his children: Megan (Mitchell) Mullins, Nathan (Ashli) Gibson-Smith, and Aubrey Treon; grandchildren: Anastasia, Alexis, Eva, Ian, and Luke; former wife and caretaker, Marty Smith; sister: Virginia Aikman; ex-wife, Amy Brinkman; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Family and friends are welcome to gather from 10:00am to 11:00am at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, on Saturday, February 25, 2023, with the Memorial Service beginning at 11:00am. He will be laid to rest at Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery.
