Norman Waddle, Jr.

Norman Waddle Jr., age 74, of Dayton, went home to be with the Lord on February 21, 2023. He was born on March 2, 1948 to the late Bernice and Norman Waddle Sr.

Norman was a man of faith and a Deacon at Northridge Freewill Baptist Church, where he was a member. He enjoyed being a father, grandfather & uncle, and he was an amazing husband. He loved his family, and he loved the Lord. He liked to go on vacations with his family, especially to Florida. His favorite vacation was a Disney Cruise in 2015. He also loved his faithful companions, Mickey and Louie, and Miss Kitty. He will be greatly missed by his family.

In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by his son, Eddie Waddle; his great-grandson, Braeden; his sister, Linda; and his brother, Bill.

His memory will be cherished by his beloved wife of 42 years, Char Waddle; his children: Melissa (Steve) Golomski, Zachary Waddle, and Renee (Bruce) Lamb; grandchildren: Ashley Waddle, Jessica (Clint) Watkins, Brianna (Trent) Jones, and Cheyenne (Tyler Stipancic) Waddle; great-grandchildren: Lakyn Gilmore, Greyson Waddle, Micah Lamb, Amelia Jones, Beauden Jones, soon-to-be, Eloise Jones, and Vincent Stipancic; his brother, Ronnie (Sue) Waddle; nieces and nephews: Shane Waddle, Erica (Sarah) Waddle, Kara Petrakos & son Jay, Larry (Denise) Hinkle, LaDonna Hinkle & daughter Gracie, Morgan Hinkle, Conrad Hinkle, and Tammy (Danny) Tootle & sons Conner, Dillon and Cullan; and many extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Northridge Freewill Baptist Church, 4800 Payne Avenue, Dayton, OH 45414. The funeral service will begin at 1:00pm, officiated by Pastor Steve Nickels. Following the service, Norman will be laid to rest at Willow View Cemetery.
