Norm was a lifelong resident of West Carrollton, OH. He graduated from West Carrolton High School and received his B.S. in Finance from Wright State University. He was just a few years into a very active retirement from UPS after 35 years.
Norm was a bright light to those around him and was a true source of life. Someone with a great sense of humor who embraced his time on earth with a passion for being connected to his family and friends. Your kids were his kids. He never missed a chance to engage and spend time with the children of his extended family. He was the de-facto activities director for all family events, ensuring that everyone made the most of the time together. He was a coach, a confidant and a mentor to family, extended family and friends. He embraced being outdoors, had a true sense of adventure and instilled his sense of adventure to those around him. He loved being on the water; boating, jet skiing and especially fishing. He cherished his spring trips to Lake Eufalua, AL and summers spent at Lake Lakengren. Many of his friends and family have been awoken early in the morning to hear; "Let's go wet a line." He encouraged everyone to embrace life, rain or shine, and have no regrets.
Norm's family would especially like to the recognize the ALS Association and Hospice of Dayton for the support and care they provided during Norm's illness. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to Hospice of Dayton & ALS Association of Central & Southern Ohio.
