He was born on May 9, 1944 to Norman and Katherine Coates in Dayton, OH.
Norman worked as a Truck Driver for many years at Supply One.
He married Janice M. Coates (Fisher) and they had two children.
Norman is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Janice; children, David Coates and Cindy (Michael) Smith; grandchildren, Jennifer (Ryan) Manley, Kimberly Coates, Jess (Alexa) Smith; great grandchildren, Aiden and Cooper; and many other beloved family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Katherine.
