Norma June Tobias

Norma June Tobias, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio, surrounded by a deep sense of love. Born on June 26, 1937, in Dayton, Ohio, she lived a life full of compassion and adventure.

Norma was known for her sweet nature, always bringing joy to those around her with her delightful laugh. A dedicated wife and a nurturing mother to her children, she made her home a haven of warmth and affection. Norma's bond with her family was unbreakable, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Charles Tobias, and her loving children: Debra "Debbie" L. (Bob) Cummings, Charlene K. (Steve) Siehl, Brian J. (Karen) Tobias, Charles "Skip" C. Tobias, Joel A. (Chris) Tobias, and Travis R. (Jeff) Tobias. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren, Chris, Nicole, Jenny, Steve, Zach, and Kelly, as well as her great-grandchildren, Brittany, Noah, Zoey, Eddie, Ryder, Baylor, and Blayr; and great-great-grandson, Lucas. She is also survived by her dear sister, Judy Laughter. 

Norma was preceded in death by her father, Cleophas Verlando Moore, her mother, Mae Evelyn Moore, her granddaughter, Amy Jo, her grandson, Nicholas Siehl, and her sister, Carol Artz.

Norma's spirit will continue to soar in the hearts of all who knew her. Throughout her life, she demonstrated an adventurous spirit, enjoying activities such as camping and motorcycle trips, and she always looked forward to card games of euchre with friends. Her zest for life and her caring demeanor will leave a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of knowing her.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Dayton, located at 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424. This will be followed by a memorial service beginning at 4:30 PM, where family and friends are invited to gather to honor and celebrate the beautiful life of Norma June Tobias.

She left her broken body and let her spirit fly, leaving behind countless friends and family who will miss her deeply.
