Norma Jean (Sewell) Smith

Norma Jean (Sewell) Smith, age 88, of New Carlisle, passed away on August 2, 2020, peacefully at her home. She was born in Springfield, Ohio, on February 17, 1932, the daughter of the late Lucian and Jessie Adams.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Verle Sewell and Glen H. Smith; and her daughter, Brenda Ledbetter.

Norma is survived by her children David (Chris) Sewell, Pamela Conner, Linda Haman and Roberta (Randy) Stone; grandchildren, Tricia, Tammy, Christina, Amanda, Jimmy, Jessica, Angela, Amy, Todd and Marc; 27 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; siblings, Jackie Schmitauer and Frankie Adams; her fur babies, Lucy and Daisy; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Norma was a Bus Driver for the Public School systems and retired from Mad River Twp. She was a member of Way of the Cross Church for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting and doing crossword puzzles. She adored her family and she will be dearly missed by them all.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 10, 2020, from 10am-11am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, where services will begin at 11am. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
