Norma Jean Pester

Norma Jean Pester, age 87 of Dayton, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021. She was born on October 15, 1933 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Jerry and Dorothy Rogers. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by beloved husband Robert Pester and sister, Bonnie Whittington.

Norma is survived by her son, Roderick (Kathi) Wells; two stepchildren, Dianne (Michael) Aiken and Steve (Connie) Pester; five grandchildren, Kyle (Katie) Wells, Keith (Brenna) Wells, Andy (Lauren) Pester, Kelly (Burgess) Chasteen, and Melissa (Dave) Fontaine; seven great-grandchildren, Avery Wells, Grayson Wells, Ansley Wells, Gillian Null, Michael Null, Zach Chasteen, Sammie Chasteen, and Kailyn Null; two nieces, Cyndi Whittington and Jackie (Dan) Estepp; two great nephews, Michael (Amy) Estepp and Christopher Estepp; and lifelong friend, Sina Rankin. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.

She graduated from Miamisburg High School. Norma was employed by Standard Register for many years and later by Macy's Company. She enjoyed going to the beach, traveling, bowling, and spending time with her family. Norma is well loved and will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at David's Cemetery located at 4600 Mad River Road, Dayton, Ohio 45429. If you would like to travel in the formal procession to the cemetery, please meet the family at Newcomer Funeral Home-South Chapel located at 3940 Kettering Boulevard Kettering, Ohio 45439 by 9:30 am.
