Norma B. Chaney, age 89 of Vandalia, passed away February 3, 2021. She was born February 19, 1931 in Spencer, West Virginia. Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Earl E. Chaney; and granddaughter, Alicia Flory.
Norma is survived by her children: Yvonne (Dale) Flory, Karen (Fred) Humphrey and Doug Chaney; 3 grandchildren: Michael (Nicole), Daniel (Dawn) and Kyra (Chris); 7 great-grandchildren: Jesse, Cheyenne, Daniel, Kaylynn, Colten, Levi and Cole; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Norma retired from NDM after many years of service. She was a great cook, loved flowers, her daily stories, and enjoyed watching the birds outside. Norma always had a little dog and loved spending time with them.
Visitation will be held from 12:30-1:30 pm on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 1:30 pm. Burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Englewood. Family and friends will gather after the committal service at Kyra's home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Norma's memory to Hospice of Dayton.
