Norma Jean was born September 15, 1930 in Scotsdale IL to Albert and Lena (Murray) Byrd. She was the first of their ten children. To all of her family she was known as Jean.
Jean passed away on October 25, 2017.
She was a graduate of Middletown High School class of 1948. Upon graduation she furthered her education by taking classes in accounting and tax preparation. She worked as a bookkeeper and tax preparer well into her seventies.
Jean married Robert Bausman shortly after high school. They were married for almost ten years prior to divorce. She choose never to remarry nor have children. Jean enjoyed traveling, visiting with family members, spending her free time caring for her cats, reading, watching movies, sewing and creating various food dishes for family gatherings. She had a very unrestricted laugh whenever she found something humorous.
Throughout the past few years she was very appreciative of her sister Patsy for spending time with her and helping with her care. Jean was proceeded in death by her parents, four brothers Albert Jr (Charlie), Richard (Dick), Floyd, Victor, her sister Mary (Jenny), her sister-in-law Jackie, a niece and a nephew. She is survived by her sisters Patsy Furrow and Gerri Dishun (Sam); brothers Jim (Francis) and Roger (Natalie), sister-in-laws Peggy and Nancy; and multiple nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and great great nieces and great great nephews.
