Norma Arlene Schultz, born June 29, 1922, Monterey, MN, daughter of Rev. Herman W. Neunaber and wife Emma (nee Sommer), died January 10, 2006. She was received into God's Kingdom by the washing of Holy Baptism July 16, 1922, confirmed on April 5, 1936. She graduated Rosemount HS in 1940. She attended the School of Commerce in Minneapolis and Minneapolis Business School. She worked for Sears, Roebuck in Wausau, WI, Springfield, IL, and Austin, MN. She worked in the school offices in Red Oak, IA, and as an office manager in Monroe, MI. On June 4, 1946 she married Arthur L. Schultz. Their marriage was blessed with five children: Alan, Nathan, Deborah, Daniel and Paul. In pastoral ministry, the family lived in MN, TX, IA and MI. After retirement, Norma and Arthur lived in Bella Vista, AR and Centerville, OH. Norma had heart surgery in 1957 and suffered a stroke in 1986. Nevertheless, she continued to serve the Lord and people. Her sons Alan, Nathan, and Paul preceded her in death, as well as two brothers. She is survived by her loving husband, Arthur; daughter Deborah and son Daniel, three daughters-in-law and their families; a sister, Lois Going, 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6-8PM Friday, January 13 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 4865 Wilmington Pike, Kettering, where funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, Pastor Richard Rudowske, officiating. Graveside services will be 2:00PM on Sunday, January 15 at Gethsemane Cemetery in Monroe, MI. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Norma's memory to the Lutheran Bible Translators, 303 N. Lake St. Box 2050, Aurora, IL 60507-2050.
