Nora Bell Fontenot, age 71 of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2020. She was born April 9, 1949 in Lafayette, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Gertrude Fontenot Sr..
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Fontenot; brothers, Benjamin Fontenot Jr., Vernon Fontenot; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Nora is survived by her daughter, Lequitta Fontenot; grandchildren, Monica Megie, Kenyon Burns, Kenneth Burns Jr.; siblings, Willie Fontenot of Washington, LA, Henry (Lucy) Fontenot of Dayton, OH, Vurley (Mary) Fontenot of Columbus, OH, Leroy Fontenot of Opelousas, LA, Lucille Fontenot of Opelousas, LA; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Nora was known as "Nanny" to a lot of people. She was funny, crazy, fun-loving and the life of the party. Nora loved her family and made sure her grandchildren were always taken care of. She fought to the end and will be greatly missed.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
