Nonna "Faye" Parker

Nonna "Faye" Parker, age 85, of Dayton passed away peacefully on June 27, 2023. She was born in Rocky Ridge, Alabama on January 16, 1938 to the late Orman and Kathleen Christian. In addition to her parents, Faye is preceded in death by her loving husband, James; son, Jim Parker and 5 siblings.

Faye is survived by her daughters, Lydia (Tom) Auwarter, Kathy (Chad) Mann; grandchildren, Sara (Eli) Sperry, Thom Auwarter, James Auwarter, Aaron Stites, Eric Parker, Tyler Stites, Justin (Abby) Parker, Dillon Parker, Matthew Stites; 10 great grandchildren; along with many other family and friends.

Faye enjoyed spending time with her family and was very involved with her church. She loved gardening, arts and crafts, sewing and reading. Faye led bible study at the local juvenile detention center and taught children's church at East Dayton Baptist. She dedicated her life to caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Faye stayed active thrifting, remodeling her home and working in the yard tending her roses. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Newcomer Kettering, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Service will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Ryan Abbott to officiate. Burial to follow at Valley View Memory Gardens.
