Nola M. Grant, age 92, of Kingston Retirement Community, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2012. Her son and daughter were at her side at Kingston as she passed away peacefully.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Ethel Grant; husband, Harvey Grant (1975); son, Jerry Grant (2000); daughter-in-law, Carole Grant (2002); granddaughter, Elizabeth Norton (2008); and grandson, Eric Thome (2011). Nola's five brothers and sisters also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son, Norman and wife Debbie of Centerville, Ohio; and her daughter, Marcia and husband Elmer Stidham of West Carrollton, Ohio. Nola was proud of her five grandchildren who all graduated from college: Kelly Grant, Ohio State; Elizabeth Norton, Ohio State; Mike Grant, Bowling Green; Eric Thome, Wright State; and Shanda Donley, Ohio University. She has six great-grandchildren: Jimmy Grant; Katie Norton; Kris Norton; Hannah Donley; Wyatt Donley; and Carson Donley.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 from 10-11am at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, Ohio 45439). The service will follow at 11am. Interment will take place at Willow View Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Hospice of Dayton in Nola's name (324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, Ohio 45420).
