Noah M. Greenhill

February 11, 1937 — September 15, 2019

Noah M. Greenhill went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at the age of 82. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Helen Greenhill, daughter Oveda and husband Kenneth Hockenheimer, four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, a sister Verla Gates, ten nephews and nieces along with many good friends. He is preceded in death by his mother and father Amos and Bertha Greenhill, his brother Troy, and his sister Verta Ruth.

He was born in New Boston, Ohio then moved with his family after the death of his father to Olive Hill, Kentucky where he spent much of his childhood. He graduated from Olive Hill High School in 1955. He then joined the Air Force which took him overseas to Morocco for 18 months and eventually to Wright Patterson Air Force Base. After his service in the air Force he went on to pursue a career as a computer programmer at the Defense Electronic Supply Company from which he retired after being employed with the US Government for 37 years.

Noah was married to Helen Rae Bond at Soldier Church of God on July 14, 1957. They first met at Upper Tyrgart School in 5th grade. Noah always said he knew in 5th grade Helen was the one his was going to marry. After finishing his Air Force Service, Noah and Helen settled in Beavercreek, Ohio where they remained until Noah's death. Noah and Helen were happily married for 62 wonderful years.

Noah was an active member of Faith Baptist Church for many years. He served the church by helping with photography and videotaping services to broadcast on the television for shut-ins. He also taught Sunday school for the 1st grade boys and worked on the churches bus route. His great passion was photography. He captured numerous weddings, nature scenes, and family groupings. For many years he processed and developed his film and portraits himself.

Noah will be greatly missed by family and friends.
