Nina Ann Rickard

Nina Ann Rickard, age 76, of Dayton, Ohio passed away on February 2, 2023. She was born on October 25, 1946 in Bartow, FL to the late John Q. and Myrtice M. Braswell. In addition to her parents, Nina was preceded in death by her husband Dana Rickard, and her brother, John E. Braswell.
Nina is survived by her sons: James (Ginny) Purvis and Jeffrey (Deanna) Purvis; daughter: Janet (Bart) Schwieterman; grandchildren: Christopher Schwieterman, Thomas (Emily) Schwieterman, Victoria Purvis, Andrew Schwieterman, Colette Mueller, Alexander Purvis; great grandchildren: Lillian Schwieterman and Abigail Schwieterman; niece: Melanie (Mark) Austin; nephew: Joseph E. Braswell; and many other family and friends.
Nina was trained classical pianist and a had a beautiful singing voice. She made friends easily and never met a stranger. Nina worked in medical billing and management for most of her life, retiring at 62. She spent the remaining years enjoying time with her children and grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton.
