Nickey L. Jackson, age 78 of Dayton, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Dayton V.A. Medical Center. He was born March 8, 1943 in Johnsons Mill, Virginia, the son of the late Willie and Mary Jackson.
Nickey was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam Era. Upon returning home, Nickey became employed by Chrysler Airtemp in Dayton. He retired after 30 years of employment. In July 1967, he married former Barbara Ann Swick, who survives him. God blessed them with 2 daughters, Kimberly Anne (Michael) Glass and Kathy Annette Reinhart (Eric Hildebrand). His daughters went on to bless them with grandchildren, Amber Cole, Crue Blakeley, Holly Self, Justin Self, Cyle Blakeley, Nicki Glass, Jarika Glass; plus great grandchildren, Khloie Noelle and Khloe Blanche, Owen Michael, Alivia Ann, and Carsen David. He also leaves behind his sister, Ruby Doris (Earl) Rickey.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Wanda Collins.
Nickey proudly received his high school diploma in June 2008 from Kettering Fairmont High School.
