Nicholas J. Manzo

Nicholas Manzo, died on Tuesday May 12th, 2009. Born on May 3, 1929, making Dayton Ohio his home for over 80 years. Nicolas was a Veteran, serving for the United States in the Korean War – Army Corps. He retired from Montgomery County as a Chemist with over three decades of public service, receiving numerous commendations from state and local entities for his work. He is preceded in death by his beloved Wife, Bertie Mae (Payne) Manzo, his Mother and Father Theresa and Fiorangelo Manzo, Sisters and Brothers in Law: Anna Morrison, Antoinette and Joseph Longhin, Mary Catherine and Tony Bissacco, He is survived by his Sister Philomena Manzo, Sister Soundra and husband Lincoln Pratt, Brother in Law and wife Chuck and Carol Morrison, and brother Michael and wife Juanita Manzo, and including several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, 2300 Smithville Rd, Dayton, OH 45420, on Friday May 15th 2009 at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Family extends sincere appreciation for the care given by the staff at CICU of Miami Valley and the Hospice of Dayton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Hospice of Dayton for the memory walkway.
