Nicholas J. Holmes

Nicholas J. Holmes, affectionately known as Nick, was born on May 20, 1980, in Kettering, Ohio. He left this world unexpectedly on October 16, 2024, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love among his family and friends.

Nick was a person of multifaceted character, often described as ornery and stubborn, yet undeniably a nice guy and a good person at heart. His sweet belly laugh brought joy to many, and his presence will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege of knowing him.

His artistic talents shone through his hobbies of drawing and painting, providing an outlet for his creativity. He also found solace in fishing, embracing the tranquility it offered. Throughout his life, Nick developed meaningful connections and shared laughter and love with family and friends.

Nick is survived by his father, Jim Holmes, and his mother, Carol Stone. He leaves behind a devoted sister, Andrea (Scott) Falkowski, along with three adoring nephews, Ryan, Eli, and Ethan Falkowski, who brought him great joy. He also is remembered by his beloved grandmother, Jeanette Holmes, and aunts Nancy Morgan, Nancy (Dave) Brush, Jane Barnett, and Patricia Holmes. He is survived by uncles Rick Hardie, Ronnie Holmes Jr., and Steve (Kelli) Holmes. Additionally, he is remembered by his stepbrother Gene Johnson and stepsister Elizabeth (Paul) Clifton.

Nick is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Darrell and Helen Hardie, his paternal grandfather, Ronnie Holmes Sr., and his stepmother, Donna Holmes.

Nick's memory will forever be a warm smile and a resonating laughter in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be missed profoundly.
