Neville "Ben" Huston Ballard, beloved father and friend, passed away on September 18, 2016, surrounded by family and friends.
Ben was born to Beulah (nee Hulett) and Neville Lynn Ballard on November 19, 1932, in Paintlick, Kentucky. After graduating from high school in Ohio, he worked at NCR in Dayton for 25 years and was passionate about Thunderbirds, Nascar and his dog, Jumper, but most important to him was his family. Ben is survived by his children, Rick, Dawn and Diana Ballard; brothers Robert, Woody and James Ballard and his sister Lorraine Townsend. He also leaves a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews as well as extended family, Sheila and Lloyd Weidel and their sons, Michael and William.
The funeral will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Moraine First Church of God (5867 Springboro Pike, Dayton, Ohio 45449) to celebrate a life well-lived and a man deeply loved. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will take place at the church on Friday from 9-11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Moraine City First Church of God.
