Neville Gore, Jr.
Age 73, a U.S. Army Veteran and long-time resident of Huber Heights, passed through the gates of heaven on May 7, 2006, after a brief illness.
Survived by his wife of 40 years Mary Jean (Roush) Gore and son Jeffrey Scott and Daughter-in-law Kelly Gore, Daughter Yvonne and son Michael and several grandchildren also survive him. Other survivors include sisters Mary Helen (Paul) Fryman of Dayton, Ohio, Linda Lou (Billy) Roberts of Portland TN. Aunt Margaret (Hopkins) Maynard of Maysville KY, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and sisters-in-law Uretta and Ileta in the Dayton area. Carolyn of Ruskin, FL, Jo Ann of Broadway, VA, and Bonnie of Mississippi, and brother-in-law Harry of Dayton. The family also wants to recognize long-time friend of 60 years Martha Henson of Gilmer, TX.
He was preceded in death by parents Neville Gore, Sr. and Hallie (Hopkins) Gore, brothers Allen and Winston, sister Norma Lee Roush and her son Wylie Roush, Jr., sister Patricia Sloan and her daughter Melissa Martin.
He was a member of Roofer's Local # 75 for over 45 years, and a long time member of The Huber Heights First Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held Wednesday May 10th from 6-8 PM. Funeral Services will be held Thursday May 11th at 2 PM. All services located at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd. in Huber Heights. Burial at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Vandalia Ohio. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Dayton, or the Dayton Area Diabetes Association.
