Neva Kinder, age 91, of Centerville, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. Neva was born in Little Rock, AR on November 12, 1926 to the late Sylvester & Florence Sell. Neva was next to the youngest of three brothers and three sisters that preceded her in death.
Neva attended Ozark Academy where she was secretary to the principal her junior & senior years, graduating in 1944. She also attended Southwestern Union College, where she sang in the college choir. Neva worked in the business office, graduating in 1946. Neva married JB Kinder on June 3, 1946. She worked for Oklahoma TB Assn after her last child started school. Neva was the treasurer, organist, Pathfinder Director and member of the Ladies Sextet Choir for the Oklahoma City Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Neva & JB moved to Dayton in 1968 and became members of the Kettering Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, JB Kinder; children, Anne (Roy) Hamilton of Naples, FL, Michael (Laura) Kinder of Applegate, MI, Don (Jane) Kinder of Richmond, VA and Kay (David) Starkey of Dayton, OH; grandchildren, Reuben Kinder, Melanie (Erik) Ulland, Gillian Kinder, Jennifer (Kenneth) Garcia, Darin (Ashley) Starkey, Kevin (Nicole) Starkey and Karin (John) Peebles; great-grandchildren, Kameron Kinder, Jaden Kinder, Stellan Ulland, Esven Ulland, Xavier Starkey and one more on the way. Neva was a wonderful wife, mother and "Nana".
