Nena Ann Reck

Nena Ann Reck, age 72 of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023. She was born on January 13, 1951 in Washington Court House, OH to the late Ruth Pauline and Francis Myron Grimes.

Nena was a devoted teacher for 45 years. She retired from Springfield City Schools in 2010. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her twin sister, Nina Ellen Grimes.

She is survived by her loving husband, Gregory Stover Reck; her son, Greg Cletus (Casey) Reck; her daughter, Sarah (Chris) Waldron; her grandchildren; Zachary Randall, Jackson Reck, Lucas Reck, Madison Waldron, Landon Waldron and Annabelle Waldron; her sister, Marsha Oakley and her brother, Todd (Jill) Grimes. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Foundation for the Blind.

The family will receive friends Monday, April 17, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services following, all at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 4865 Wilmington Pike Kettering, OH 45440.
