Nelson C. Goodlett

Nelson C. Goodlett, age 96 of Xenia, Ohio passed away peacefully on January 13, 2021. He was born August 31, 1924 in Richmond, Kentucky son of the late George and Bessie Goodlett.
Nelson was a loving father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a Pastor in the Church of the Nazarene in several states. Nelson and Mattie served as missionaries to Cuba in the 50's. Nelson was a School Teacher with his last being at Nazarene Christian School in Xenia, retiring at the age of 80. In his spare time he loved watching Andy Griffith, and loved to read. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Nelson was preceded in death by his wife of 65 Mattie Goodlett; sisters, Dorothy Fisher, and Gladys Reams; brothers, George Goodlett, Buddy Goodlett, and Elwood Goodlett.
Nelson is survived by his daughter, Pamela (Bobby) Walls; grandchildren, Robert (Courtney) Walls III and Tyler (Abby) Walls; great grandchildren, Larkin, Lorelei and Easton Walls, Gavin and Tanner Snow, and Hansel Walls; brother, James (Emma) Goodlett; sister-in-law, Hilda Goodlett; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Nelson will be laid to rest next to his wife Mattie at Middle Run Cemetery at a later date.
