Nellie Wiley

WILEY, Nellie "Rachel", age 66, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2009. She was born July 1, 1942 in Summers Co, WV. Rachel is preceded in death by her parents, O. Lando and Chloi Cox. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ken Wiley; sons, Steve (Sherry) and Jeff (Chris) Wiley of Dayton; brothers, Charles, Clenda, and Kenny Cox of Ft. Meyers, FL; sister, Judy Reinstan of Seattle, WA; grandchildren, Emily, Heather, Jon, Sarah, and Byron Wiley of Dayton; great grandchild, Nolan Wiley of Dayton, and special sister-in-law, Carol Foughty. She worked for the Dayton City Schools for 39 years, was the scouting co-coordinator at Otterbein UMC for 27 years, received the Torch Award and Silver Beaver Award, and was a member of Otterbein Church. Rachel was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, whom will be dearly missed by her family and all those who loved her. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, June 8, 2009 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Entombment will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens' Mausoleum, Centerville. Family will receive friends from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm on Sunday, June 7, 2009 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
