Nellie Mae Wilson

March 16, 1916 — December 3, 2012

Nellie Mae Wilson, age 96 (almost 97), of Washington Twp. Went home to be with the Lord, Monday December 3rd.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Wilson Sr., 1 son Bobbie, 2 daughters, Doris Shupe and Judy Ventura, 1 son-in-law, Jim Shupe and 1 grandson, Spec 4 Rodger Wilson, 4 sisters: Hasby, Vondie, Lester and Virginia, 2 brothers: Howard and Darrell.

She is survived by her children: Thelma (Jim) Fisher, Betty (Paul) Kiddon, Nancy Bryant, Jim Wilson, Art (Sharon) Wilson, 1 sister Velvia Saulnier, 1 daughter-in-law, Ruby Wilson, son-in-law Pete Ventura. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was an avid reader of the Bible and had an amazing relationship with the Lord. She loved to cook and watched the cooking channel collecting many recipes. Nellie spent her spring and summer maintaining the garden she loved, and canned in the fall for her family and friends.

The family wishes to express heartfelt and sincere appreciation to the Doctors, Nurses and Aides as well as the other folks we came in contact with at Kettering Memorial Hospital, on 3 South, for their patience and understanding during Nellie's last days. They are an amazing group of caring folks.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2012 from 10-11 am at David's Cemetery Chapel (4600 Mad River Rd, Kettering, OH 45429). The service will follow at 11:00 am.
