Nellie F. Kinnard (Hardin)

Nellie F. Kinnard (Hardin), age 78, of Trotwood, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on July 26, 2022. She was born in Shelby, North Carolina on November 7, 1943 to Samuel and Bessie Hardin. She earned both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in communication from Sinclair and Wright State University.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a huge heart and loved all members of her family. She enjoyed working in her yard and gardening. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As the matriarch of her family, her love and kindness will be truly missed.

Nellie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Andrew J. Kinnard; her son, Henry B. Hardin; her daughter, Andrea Hardin; her parents: Samuel and Bessie Hardin; her brother, Eddie Hardin; and her favorite cousin, Calvin Chambers.

Her memory will be cherished by her children: Trayce Hardin; Mark (Anna) Hardin; Laura Hardin; and Andre Hardin; her favorite sister: Irene Hardin; her sister: Julia Fay Allen; brothers: Samuel Hardin Jr. and Mose (Tommy) Hardin; grandchildren: Timesha, Steven, Jade, Rachel, Letiqua, Wynika, Andrea, Asia, Dazhionne, Brandon, Andre Jr., Aaron, Aniya, Phillip, Christian, Brittany, Matthew, Caroline, Shawna, and Cassidy; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, including favorite niece, Inger Marsh, and favorite nephew, Eddie Hardin Jr.; and many cousins, extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 12:30pm to 1:30pm on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, where the funeral service will begin at 1:30pm. Following the service, she will be laid to rest with her family at Shiloh Park Cemetery.
