Nellie J. Myers

MYERS, Nellie J. (Nee Estes), age 77, of New Carlisle, OH, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2011. She was born January 29, 1934 in Philadelphia, TN, to the late Jesse S. and Alma (Skinner) Estes.

Nellie was a member of Medway Baptist Church, owned and operated Nellie J's Beauty Salon. After retiring from the salon, she became a Sales Director with Mary Kay Cosmetics.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Wylie W. Myers, Jr.; children, Wylie "Butch" W. Myers, III and Maureena Myers; four sisters, Hula Easter, Bonnie Estes, Cleva (Jim) Brown, and Vivian (Roy) Reed; sister's-in-law, Fan Vance and Jessie Ann Estes; Numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Nellie was preceded in death by brother, Jesse Brunner Estes; two infant brothers, Kermit and Kenneth Estes; one sister, Beulah Mae Smith; four brother's-in-law, Harry K. Mims, James C. Easter, Fred Smith, and Jim Vance.

Pastor's Steve Lookabaugh, Melvin Vansickle, and Rev. Vivian Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Day Spring Nursing Home in Fairborn and the nurses from Hospice of Miami Valley.
