Nellie May Dempsey, age 93, passed away August 31, 2014. She was born May 5, 1921 in Clinton, KY to the late Marion and Fannie Hopkins. In addition to her parents, Nellie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dempsey; sons: Robert Jack Dempsey and David Charles Dempsey; grandson, David Lee Eastep; and 11 brothers and sisters.
Nellie is survived by her daughters: Mary (Joel) Hassell and Nellie (Joe) Eastep; grandchildren: David, Bob, Terry, Debbie, Joey, Nella and Diana; 19 great grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren; and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 1:30-2:30 pm on Friday, September 5, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
