Ned Richard Bradley
Age 84, of Centerville passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2012.

Ned was born March 17, 1927 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

Ned proudly served in WWII as a Radio Technician for the United States Navy from 1945 to 1946. He earned a Bachelor's of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin and a CPA license from Wisconsin. Ned began his career as an accountant and rose through the ranks to Vice President and General Manager within the paper industry in Albany, NY.

He retired from Appleton Papers in West Carrollton in 1991. Ned was accepted into the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels on February 19th, 1982. In life, Ned had a deep love for family, music, travel and golf. He played the clarinet in the University of Wisconsin concert band and the Green Bay Packer Band. Ned also had the opportunity to be a student conductor for two different high school bands. He sang in the choir and also worked with the Job Jar Guys at his church, Centerville United Methodist. As an avid traveler, he and his wife, Betty, attended the performances of many major Symphony orchestras in the U.S. and abroad.

During his retirement, Ned took the Honor Flight to Washington DC as a WWII veteran. He also volunteered at several golf tournaments including the senior open at NCR in 2005, and worked a few tax seasons at H & R Block.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Betty of Centerville; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Kathleen Bradley of Miamisburg; daughter, Susan Grommon of Kettering; son-in-law, Joe Turner of Centerville; grandchildren Christopher (Jennifer) Grommon; Sarah Grommon; Nicole Bradley; AJ Turner; Bradley Turner; and great granddaughter, "Little" Nadia Grommon. Ned is also survived by his older brother Bob (Ann) Bradley of Grand Junction, CO; brother-in-law Tom Hueseman of Appleton, WI; brother-in-law Tom Grewe of Eau Claire, WI; and a host of nephews and nieces.

Ned was preceded in death by his daughter, Bonnie Turner; son-in-law Michael Grommon; sisters Sally Bradley and Mary Grewe; parents Harry and Emma Bradley; and sister-in-law Judy Hueseman.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon at Centerville United Methodist Church, 63 East Franklin St., Centerville, Ohio 45459. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Greg Crabtree officiating.

In lieu of flowers contributions should be made in memory of Ned to either Centerville UMC or Heartland of Centerville Hospice.
