Nathan William England, age 86 of Kettering, passed away Friday, February 12, 2021 at Miami Valley Hospital South. He was born June 5, 1934 in Findley, Ohio, the son of Perry and Edna England.
Nathan was a proud employee of Ohio Bell Telephone Company/AT&T for 35 years. He retired early to care for his beloved wife, Gloria, who had suffered a stroke and stood by her side for 28 years in this illness. He also gratefully served his country in the United States Army, including overseas service in Germany. His greatest hobby was refinishing boats and enjoying the Ohio waterways.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Gloria (nee Fraver); his parents; and siblings, Don, Marie, Helen, Millie, Corrine, Dody, Wanda and Robert "Bob".
Nathan is survived by his sons, Michael (Caryn) and David (Janice); grandchildren, Tiffany, Joshua, Jacob, Shane, Madison and Samuel; sister, Norma and sister-in-law, Joyce.
Memorial donations can be made to Samaritan's Purse or Hospice of Dayton in Nathan's honor.
Visitation will be February 17, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). A funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm. Private burial will take place at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens next to the love of his life.
