Dayton, OH

Nat Casini was born on August 17, 1928, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Natale and Bernardine (Lehmann) Casini. He passed away on August 25, 2024 in Dayton, Ohio. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend who touched lives of many through his unwavering kindness and warmth.

Nat proudly served his country in WWII and the Korean War as a member the United States Marine Corps, retiring in 1966 after a distinguished military career that instilled in him the values of discipline, duty, and service. His time in the Marines shaped much of his character and contributed to the strong bonds he formed with his fellow servicemen and women. He received two purple hearts for injuries he received in battle.

In his personal life, Nat was a man of diverse interests and talents. He had an abiding passion for photography, capturing the beauty of the world around him and preserving memories for generations to come. Nat also found joy in cooking, sharing his culinary creations with family and friends, and demonstrating his love through the meals he prepared. His green thumb made his garden flourish, where he nurtured plants that brought beauty to his home and happiness to those who enjoyed the fruits of his labor.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jianjun Zhou; his children, Roseann, Scott, Steven, Roseann, Kevin and Duwayne; his sisters, Annunziata "Dolly" Davis, Natalie Fisher, and Angelina Helt and numerous nieces and nephews. Each of them will carry forward his legacy of compassion and creativity.

Nat's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, cherished not only for his accomplishments but for the love and joy he so generously shared throughout his life. His spirit remains a guiding light for his family and friends, who will forever treasure the moments spent with him.
