Naomi Young

Naomi Young, age 82 of Union, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on November 10, 2018. Naomi was born in Beattyville, KY to the late Bert and Loueady Riley. Naomi met and married Shelton Young in 1960. The two have shared many beautiful years together.

Naomi enjoyed shopping and was skilled at finding great deals and bargains. In her free time she loved to cook for her friends and family. Naomi took great pride in her family. She was a loving, caring, and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Naomi was preceded in death by her siblings, Speed Riley, Mandy Riley, Loni Denney, Sarah Riley, Lula Riley, Robin Riley, Alice Long, Catherine Smallwood, George Riley, and Polly Riley.

Naomi leaves to cherish her memory, loving husband of 58 years, Shelton N. Young; son, Greg "Scotty" (Michelle) Young; grandchildren, Britney Rinehart and Curtis Cress; great-grandchildren, Braden and Isabella; brother, Sam Riley; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

A Celebration of Naomi's Life will take place on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Newcomer - North Chapel at 1:30pm. Visitation for one hour prior (12:30pm - 1:30pm). Interment to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Naomi's honor to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
