Naomi Young, age 83 of Moraine, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Kettering Health Main Campus. She was born February 8, 1940 in Sneedville, TN to the late Lon and Ora Bolden. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers, Floyd, Effird "Buck" and Shelby Bolden; seven sisters, Marie, Edith, Georgia, Martha, Hassie, Vacie, and Barbara; numerous nieces and nephews; along with three best friends, JoAnn Roe, Earl and Peggy Williams.
Naomi is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Edward Young; three daughters, Rosemary, Carolyn Sue (Stephen) Shankle, and Loretta; two sons, Michael (Alesia) and Lee Roy (Karen); nine grandchildren, Brandon, Christopher (Coralie), Bryston, Dalon, Trey, Jacob, AJ, Malaki, and Lydia. Naomi is also survived by numerous family and friends including last remaining twin sisters, Nina and Nellie.
Naomi was devoted to faith and a long standing member of Assembly of God in Miamisburg. She was employed numerous years at Esther Price Candies. Naomi is known as an expert chef in southern cooking with no equal. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, puzzles, crafts and really enjoyed garage sales. The most important thing to Naomi was her faith, husband and family; especially family and mini family reunions for fellowship and serving meals to loved ones. Naomi is well known as one of the most loving and caring friend, cousin, aunt, mother, and grandmother of all time. She is loved dearly by all that knew her and will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, July 7, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home-South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd. Kettering, Ohio 45439). Funeral Service will be officiated by Pastor's Roger Mullins and Lee Roy Young from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM. Naomi will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Cemetery (723 Upper Miamisburg Road Miamisburg, OH 45342).
