Naomi Stanley

Naomi Stanley, age 73, of Dayton, passed away on November 3, 2021. She was born in Robbinsville, North Carolina, on November 15, 1947, the daughter of the late Burder and Molly Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Brenda, Beulah and Peggy; and her brother, Danny.

Naomi is survived by her loving children, Nancy (Keith) Justice and Jim (Barbara) Stanley; grandchildren, Savannah, Chris, Stephanie, Josh, Rachel, Kevin and Dustin; great grandchildren, Stephanie, Kayleigh, Alaina, Lucas, Kacyn, Dominic, Iris, Naomi, Abel, Arthur, Harrison, Sullivan, Floydanna and Elliott; siblings, Kenny, Katie, Keith, Doug, Linda and Debbie; and many other loving family and friends.

She retired from Dayton Daily News, where she was the first female Journeyman in the Mail Room. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, crafting and watching TV (which was always a topic of conversation with her family). Naomi was a very empathetic soul, who never worried about the small things in life. She always had an optimistic outlook on everything. She was truly unselfish, and was always there for those she loved. "Oney" will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held from 5:00pm-6:00pm, on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, where a Celebration of her Life will begin at 6:00pm, by the family.

Donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
