MEESE, Naomi Jean 94 years old, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at her apartment in Columbus, OH. Jean, the only child of Lonnie and Mary Weaver, graduated valedictorian of her Bethel Township High School class and went on to marry the love of her life, Harry Meese, who predeceased her.
She and Harry had three children, Teresa (Phil) Bierdeman, David (Vanita) and Stephen; grandchildren Amanda (deceased), Andrew, Amy (Michael) Driver, and Jonathan; step grandsons Yosef and Alexander Hassan; and great grandson, Paul Driver.
Jean, an avid reader, was a retired librarian and loved to travel throughout the US and Canada. Jean loved social gatherings and dining out, enjoyed family and friends, and was an engaging conversationalist. She lived in Riverside many years prior to moving to Brookhaven in Brookville, then subsequently lived at Worthington Christian Village, Columbus. She looked forward to outings with daughter, Terri, and cherished time spent with family and friends.
The family thanks the caring staff at Brookhaven and Worthington Christian Village for the attention they gave. A private celebration of Jean's life will be held prior to her burial in Bethel Township.
