Nanette Maria Jarvis , age 81 of Dayton, Ohio passed away peacefully with her husband by her side holding her hand on June 25, 2021. She was born December 13, 1939 in Flint, Michigan daughter of the late Clifford and Maria Parker.
In addition to her parents, Nanette was preceded in death by her brothers, Tim and John Parker; and her beloved K9 companion Bella.
Nanette was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. Nanette was an instrumental part of helping her husband Jim build the Burger King Franchise. She enjoyed decorating, bird watching, and traveling. Nanette loved going to the lake house and spending time there with her family. Nanette was known for her outspoken, spunky, and feisty self. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Nanette is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jim Jarvis; children, Mark (Sherri) Jarvis, Michael Jarvis, and Anjanette Jarvis; former son-in-law, J.P Tevis; grandchildren, Nicholas Jarvis, Alexandra Jarvis, Lynsey (Cody) Vlasek, Aaliyah Tevis, Ezra Garner, Elijah Tevis, Dana Hughes and Michelle Stover; great grandchildren, Noah Tevis and Aliya Allen; sister-in-law, Kathy and Jack Baker; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 1, 2021 from 1-2pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45324). A graveside service will follow at 2:30pm at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Dayton for the care that they showed to Nanette and her family during this difficult time. A special thank you to Terri Reed, Regina Honious, April Everette, Narges Ali for the love and comfort they provided to her.
