Nancy Lee Merrill Spence, formerly of Vandalia, Ohio, left this life peacefully on August 14, 2014.
She was born on February 20, 1929, the daughter of Millard F. and Lauretta (White) Merrill. She was married to Orville (Cedric) Spence on August 13, 1949 and together they raised four children until his passing in 1987. She will be remembered as a devoted mother to Tim (Rhonda) Spence of San Diego, CA, Rob (Rhonda) Spence of South Vienna, OH, Stuart (Karen) Spence of Watsonville, CA and Barbara (Alan) Gehrich of Ewa Beach, HI. She also leaves behind her sister, Jane Merrill of San Juan Bautista, CA and seven grandchildren: Darren, Alana, Savannah, Tessa and Tyler Spence, Roman and Grace Gehrich.
She will rest next to her husband on the grounds of the Soldier's Home Veterans National Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio where she was born and raised while her Father was the Director of Horticulture for 37 years.
