Nancy L. Smith

Nancy L. Smith, age 88 of Dayton, passed peacefully on Monday, January 16, 2023. She was born on July 14, 1934 in Lorado, West Virginia to the late Carl and Ruth Dunkle. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 years, James Edward Smith; two sisters, Karleen England and Roseann Saylor; and brother, Glen Dunkle.

Nancy is survived by her four children, Jimma, Jeffrey, Jenean, and Joni; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and sister, Naomi Buffington.

The most important thing to Nancy was her family. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, gardening, crafts, and traveling. Nancy will always be remembered for her kindness, sweet spirit, generosity, and deep faith. Nancy is now in the loving arms of Jesus and will be greatly missed.

Graveside Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, January 27, 2023 at Highland Memorial Cemetery located at 723 Upper Miamisburg Rd, Miamisburg, OH 45342.
