Nancy L. Reed, age 93, of Kettering, OH, entered Eternal Glory on August 11, 2015. Born March 14, 1922, Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Lester A. and Margaret C. Reed; brother, John William Reed, and his wife, Bettie.
She is succeeded by her nephew, John, of Chicago.
She was in the last graduating class of Steele High School in 1940, loved opera and travel. She worked for and retired from Duriron Co (Flowserve) after nearly 50 years of service. Nancy was a dedicated member of First Lutheran Church of Dayton, selflessly serving organizations, including the Carillon Historical Park. Nancy was the 2013 volunteer of the year.
Graveside services will be Friday, August 14, 1:00 PM, at Woodland Cemetery, with Rev. Robert Swanson II officiating. Donations may be made in Nancy's memory to the First Lutheran Church of Dayton (138 West First St., Dayton, OH 45402) or the charity of your choice.
