Nancy E. (von Hoff) Hendrickson passed on March 18, 2024 after a brief hospice stay. Nancy was born April 19, 1939 to Bernice (Uhl) and John von Hoff. She and her sister Barbara E. (von Hoff) Niday were raised in Oakwood and Nancy graduated from Oakwood High School in 1957. Nancy spent much of her career in broadcasting working for both WING radio and WHIO television from the late 1950s to the 1990s. She was an active member during her career in the Alliance of Women in Media (formerly American Women in Radio and Television). She also volunteered for TWIGs and for many years was a volunteer with Miami Valley Hospital and Miami Valley Hospital South. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Louis K. (Bud) Hendrickson. She is survived by her sister Barbara Niday and by her children Debra Burgess (Doug), Michael Shock, and Steven Shock (Laurie), grandchildren Christopher Mealy (Stephanie), Brian Burgess (Melanie), Kevin Mealy (Katie), Brittany Gibbons (Kevin), Matthew Burgess, Lauren Shock, and Jacob Shock, greatgrandchildren Lilly, Kurtis, Juniper, Calvin, and Millie, stepdaughters Gail Zapatoni (Ed), Toby McLaughlin (Larry), and Terry Talbert (Drake) and their families, and nieces Leslie Bodkin (Steve) and Janet Morgan (Steve) and their families.
