Nancy R. Gregory (Anderson), age 73 of Centerville, Ohio, passed away peacefully November 1, 2016.
She was born and raised in Sioux Falls, SD and graduated from Augustana University in Sioux Falls. Nancy worked as a social worker in Cedar Rapids, IA, where she met her beloved husband Richard. While raising three children, she also attended Wright State University where she received a Masters of Social Work. Nancy worked for the Montgomery County Domestic Relations Court and served on the board of Erma's House in Dayton, OH. She loved reading, jigsaw puzzles, and had a great sense of humor with an infectious laugh.
She was married to her beloved husband Richard for 48 years and was a caregiver for him for several years. Nancy treasured her children and absolutely adored her grandchildren. She never met a stranger.
Nancy was the daughter of the late Edwin and Renee Anderson, and preceded in death by her husband Richard J. Gregory. She is survived by her son David (Elizabeth) Gregory, daughter Angela (Chip) Mikonis and son Brian (Michelle) Gregory. She is also survived by her sister Joan Anderson, sister Susan (Del) Steinle, and preceded in death by her brother David Anderson. She is survived by her grandchildren Lexi Vormberg, Marisa and Mitchell Mikonis, Lauren and Sela Gregory, Nicholas and Vincent Short.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions made to Erma's House of Dayton, Ohio.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 12 from 10-11 am at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel with memorial service immediately following. Interment will follow after service at David's Cemetery in Kettering, OH.
