Nancy Katherine Dwyer

Nancy Katherine "Katie" Dwyer, age 87 of Troy, passed away February 5, 2019. She was born December 6, 1931 in Cookeville, TN. Katie was preceded in death by her father, Kelly D. Wood; mother, Janie A. Pease; husband, James Dwyer; son, Ronald Peppo; grandson, Danny Peppo; sister, Elizabeth Atkins; brother, James Wood; daughter-in-law, Donna Peppo; and step-son, Michael Dwyer.

Katie is survived by her children: Robert Peppo, Michael (Mary) Peppo and Peggy Skaggs; daughter-in-law, Cris Peppo; step-children: Malcolm Dwyer and Pamela Kress; sister-in-law, Jean Feasby; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters: Juanita Clark, Billie (John) Patten and Mary Smith; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Katie was a member of First Baptist Church, Troy. In her earlier days, Katie was an avid outdoors adventurer with her children. She was a talented painter, wonderful communicator and was a very generous woman who supported many different charities.

Visitation will be held from 12-1 pm on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm. Pastor Dale Christian officiating. Burial to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, officiated by her grandson, Rev. Bradley Peppo. Contributions may be made in Katie's memory to any charity of your choice.
