Nancy J. Curtner, age 67, of Springboro, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021.
She was born November 22, 1953 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Warren G. and Josephine (Stedman) Hapner. Nancy J. Curtner, age 67, of Springboro, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021. She was born November 22, 1953 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Warren G. and Josephine (Stedman) Hapner.
Nancy grew up in Lewisburg, Ohio and graduated in 1972 from Twin Valley North High School. Nancy was a Medical Assistant in the Miami Valley for over 30 years.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles "Guinea" Hapner.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 45 years, Harry L. Curtner; her two sons, Charles "Chuck" (Kim) Curtner, Todd (Hayley) Curtner; 4 grandchildren, Maddie Curtner, Makayla Curtner, Noah Curtner, and Nathaniel Curtner. She is also survived by her siblings, Stephanie Cotterman, Rebecca Hapner, Barbara (Bill) Schilling, Richard (Debbie) Hapner, Tammy (Scott) Wombold, numerous nieces and nephews along with her beloved dogs, Josie and Ralph.
Nancy loved being a Mamaw and adored spoiling her grandchildren. She was a fabulous mother-in-law, and was a very supportive and giving person. Nancy enjoyed nature including birds and flowers. She loved working with horses and she and Harry owned race horses over the years. She enjoyed going on antiquing trips with Harry. Nancy was an avid Ohio State sports fan and also enjoyed attending her grandkids sporting events.
Nancy will always be remembered for speaking her mind and for loving her family with her whole heart. She was a fantastic cook and loved to make her famous noodles for family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Newcomer Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Funeral service will take place on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart Association or the charity of your choice in Nancy's memory.
