Nancy C. Goode

Goode, Nancy C. "Granny Goode", age 87, of Dayton, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2007 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born September 9, 1919 in Harrisburg, PA. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph A. & Agnes Lee; husband, Joe; infant son, Francis; brothers, Joe, Bill & Anthony Lee. Survivors include her children, Bridget Martenson of Burnsville, NC, Joe Goode and fiancée Kathy Stevens of Columbus, & Nancy and her husband, Hal Lewis of Dayton; grandchildren, Christopher, John, Sarah, & Patrick; great granddaughter, Chloe, former daughter-in-law, Leslie and numerous nieces & nephews. She will be missed by many close and loving friends. She retired from the Council on Aging. She was proud of her service as a former board member of the Riverdale Neighborhood Association and a "Rosie the Riveter". A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, June 28, 2007 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 272 Bainbridge St., Dayton, Ohio, with Father Rick Friebel as celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton. The family will receive friends at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH on Wednesday from 6-8 PM. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity.
